Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: August 09, 2024

Executive Summary

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines the rules and responsibilities for using the StackBooster Platform. Its purpose is to protect the security, integrity, and availability of our service for all customers. This policy prohibits illegal or abusive activities, such as introducing malware, attempting unauthorized access, or interfering with the Platform’s operation. It also outlines your responsibilities, including securing your credentials, applying security patches to your environment, and notifying us of any compromise. Violations of this AUP may lead to suspension or termination of your service.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is incorporated into the Master SaaS Agreement (“Agreement”) between StackBooster Corporation (“StackBooster”) and its customers. It governs the use of the StackBooster Platform.

3. Enforcement

3.1. Investigation and Suspension. StackBooster reserves the right to investigate any violation of this AUP. We may suspend or restrict your access to the Platform if we reasonably believe a violation has occurred that threatens the security, integrity, or availability of the service.

Comparative Notes

This AUP is tailored to the specific risks of a Kubernetes autoscaling platform. Unlike generic AUPs, it includes explicit prohibitions against “telemetry spoofing” and “metrics falsification,” which are unique and critical threats to the integrity of an ML-driven scaling service. It also places clear responsibilities on the customer regarding Kubernetes-specific security practices, such as patching and configuring least-privilege RBAC for the agent. This level of specificity, which was not prominent in the general competitor documents reviewed, is essential for a technical product like StackBooster.
